This work was inspired by the scale of period films and the timeless spirit of our history. Rather than depicting a place, it brings together three moments that are never meant to exist at once.

To the right, the past lives through temples, oil lamps, and the quiet rhythm of aarti. At the centre, the present is consumed by the need to document. Children stand on a boat with their phones raised, trying to capture what was never meant to be photographed. Some experiences ask to be lived, not stored.

Behind them, kings and queens return to the ghats in silent prayer, reminding us that power has always bowed before faith.

Beyond the river, the earth curves across the horizon as a meteor races toward it. Destruction feels inevitable, yet through the thunderstorm Krishna continues to guide Arjuna. Kingdoms disappear. Civilisations rise and fall. Time rewrites everything except the values that endure.

Varanasi is often called the eternal city because it is believed to outlive the end of the world.
