The more I look back, the more I realise that life is never made up of a single story. It is a collection of moments layered over one another until they become impossible to separate.

Kahani lives in that transition.

At the heart of this work are figurative Persian carpets, layered with symbols, memories, and narratives that reveal themselves over time. Much like our own lives, each layer carries a different perspective, and no single view tells the complete story.

The face remains partially concealed, while the eyes become the centre of the narrative, holding love, doubt, and the weight of every choice. Above, the scales quietly ask what the heart is willing to surrender. Below, a solitary figure takes a leap, unaware of the crocodiles waiting beneath. Love has always demanded faith, but faith has never promised certainty.

The trains are borrowed from my years in Chicago, a reminder that every journey changes us before we even notice. The dragons reflect my lifelong fascination with mythology, where every hero is transformed not by victory, but by the trials they endure.

When I was eighteen, love felt effortless. It asked for nothing but faith. Today, it asks for patience, responsibility, and the courage to question every decision before taking the next step. Kahani is not simply about love. It is about perspective, growth, and discovering that every story reveals a different meaning depending on where you stand.
