ROOTS AND REBELLION SOLO EXHIBITION

ROOTS AND REBELLION SOLO EXHIBITION

'Roots & Rebellion' Abhay's second solo exhibition at Bikaner House, Delhi, presenting his most ambitious body of work to date. The collection explored the constant negotiation between heritage and modernity, tradition and ambition, nostalgia and contemporary life.

Each painting reflected moments of everyday Indian life filtered through surreal storytelling. Mythological references sat alongside luxury fashion, internet culture intersected with historical symbols, and childhood memories blended seamlessly with present-day realities. Rather than presenting these worlds in conflict, the works celebrated their coexistence, revealing how identity is continuously shaped by both the past and the present.

At its heart, the exhibition was an exploration of change. It examined how migration, technology, consumer culture, and shifting social values influence the way younger generations understand family, belonging, and success.

Through detailed compositions filled with hidden narratives, Roots & Rebellion invited viewers to return to each painting again and again, discovering new stories with every encounter.
