For the launch of District 11, a new restaurant in Mumbai, I created a large-scale custom wallpaper that covers the main dining room wall and covers the concept of New York reimagined with historical indian characters
The work merges two cities into one continuous street: New York's Times Square and Chicago's Theatre District, rendered as a single urban sprawl. Sholay billboards sit alongside The Godfather marquee. Bharatanatyam dancers move through American crowds. The Chicago Theatre sign anchors the right; the Chrysler Building rises on the left.
It is the same collision of cultures I have long explored, here scaled to fill an entire room. Somewhere between New York energy and Indian nostalgia… this exists.
