For District 11, a dining place in Mumbai, Abhay Sehgal designed a large-scale custom wallpaper that transforms the restaurant's main dining space into an immersive visual experience. Inspired by his years living in Chicago and his fascination with Indian culture, the artwork brings together two worlds through his signature surreal storytelling.
The composition reimagines iconic landmarks from New York and Chicago alongside historical Indian characters, creating a city where Times Square meets traditional India, Bollywood exists beside Hollywood, and cultural boundaries begin to blur. Designed exclusively for the space, the installation reflects District 11's bold, contemporary identity while inviting guests to discover new details with every visit.
